요리관련 동사 정리 fry bake roast

Roasting and baking are essentially the same process, the application of dry heat in an oven. But baking is usually seen as applying to breads, cakes and pastries, while roasting is something you do to meat and vegetables. when you cook a Thanksgiving turkey or a Christmas goose (does anyone still cook geese?), you are roasting.

Frying is done on top of the stove or in an electric fryer, and it is the process of cooking something in hot oil. Many fried items are coated in flour, breadcrumbs or batter, because the coating protects them from the heat of the oil and keeps them moist. You can deep fry, immersing the food entirely in the hot oil, or you can shallow fry in a skillet(frying pan). Either way gives the food a nice, crisp coating, and if done right, will not make your food greasy.
